Mom's New Pup and a Little of This and That

Oh Romeo, Romeo... Mom an Dad have a new fur baby! Let the puppy fun begin! Sleepless nights, chewing, whimpering, playing, training, cleaning up.... PRICELESS! They are both thrilled with their new doggie-boy. His name is Romeo and he is a Shitese, which is a cross between Shih Tzu and Maltese. An adorable little fellow that I am getting to know through the cute stories and photos and will soon meet him in person in just a couple weeks! I am so excited!
A pretty necklace made with my grandmother's chains that I took apart and rearranged. The heart belonged to her and the rest are pieces I found at one of my favorite stores, French General.

A lovely new book with pages and pages of inspiration and beautiful art. So many of my blog friends are in here!

I collaborated on a paper bag book back in 2007 and was thrilled to get the news that my page would have a spot in this wonderful book. Here is a photograph of my actual book set against the page with my artwork.

And finally.... some visual journal pages

Thanks Everyone for all your great comments on my last apron post. I'm starting another one today! Happy days!

Hi Holly,

What a great post! Romeo is too cute! I love the necklace, how special that you repurposed the chains and the heart...very special.

Love your journal pages and can't wait to see your next apron creation...they are my weakness. I only wish they made me feel like cleaning, cooking or baking when I wear them...oh well!

Hi Holly,

Romeo is just the sweetest little puppy, I think he is darling. I have a border collie and a golden retriever, but I really love this little guy, too cute.

The necklace you made is stunning honey. Very clever to incorporate some of your grandmother's jewelry with some of your French General goodies (you do love that place!).
I remember you collaborating on that bird book a few year's ago. Congratulations on being featured in yet another publication.
And your visual journal pages are gorgeous. Love, love the last one.
You have been creating up a storm!
Much love from me and the kitties.

Holly ... fantastic journal pages. I have really enjoyed all the tiny details. Beautiful.

AND that Romeo is just the cutest (and of course I have a real soft spot for the Maltese/Shitsu cross). You have seen a photo of little Oakey, and today I posted a photo of Leroy (his best friend) on my blog..Leroy is huge, nearly 40kg but little Oakey rules the roost at our house and Leroy knows his place...they are so funny.

I am sure your mum must just adore him...they are such personalities.

The puppy is incredibly cute (but wouldn't the breed name be better known as 'Maltzu'?)
